Terrific Tuesday #13-Product Of The Month

Welcome to Terrific Tuesday #13
Envelopes-are a vital element of my handmade cards. Without an envelope, a card would be next to impossible to put through the mail, and when presenting a handmade card in person, it's nice to have the card in an envelope. An envelope adds the finishing touch to any card. The envelopes I use are from Stampin Up, they are high quality and have a beautiful smooth finish.
Sometimes, I will stamp an image on the front of the envelope, as in the photo to the left and other times, I like to add patterned paper to the outside flap of the envelope to match the card that is inside, as I did in the photo to the right:

In my Joyful Heart Gift Shop, I offer a wide variety of handmade cards and small gifts.

Today's Scripture Reading:
"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  James 1:5

May you have a Terrific Tuesday and a blessed week.

Terrific Tuesday #12-Creating Process Of The Month

Hello, and welcome to Terrific Tuesday #12
Each month I would like to share my creating process.
Are you or anyone you know a dog or cat lover?
If so, I have a real "treat" for you.
A mini box to hold treats for a favorite pet. A gift card fits nicely inside as well.
My process to create the treat boxes:

  • The boxes come flat, with score lines. I fold the score lines to create the box. Since the box has two sides, a food-safe side, and a matte finish, I chose the food-safe side to create the box.
  • Cut black card stock 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" for the top of the box to create a small mat around the patterned paper.
  • Cut the patterned paper to 3" x 3" and add adhesive and place on top of the black card stock.
  • For the inside of the box, I cut another 3" x 3" patterned paper.
  • The words inside read: wag-play-bark-woof-dig-chase (so cute-I love these words).

In my Joyful Heart Gift Shop I offer a variety of items for purchase.

Today's Scripture Readings:
"For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him."
2 Thessalonians 5:9-10.

May you have a Terrific Tuesday and a blessed week.

Terrific Tuesday #11 What To Write In A Sympathy Card

Welcome to Terrific Tuesday #11.
Although it's not an easy thing to send or give sympathy cards, at some point, a sympathy card is one that will be needed.
In my handmade cards, I generally leave the inside blank to allow you to write your own personalized message. Perhaps there are times that you are unsure as to what to write. Here are some ideas:
  • Prayers and heartfelt sympathy are with you and your family.
  • With deepest sympathy.
  • Know that love, prayers, and caring surround you today.
  • It was truly a pleasure knowing_____________(add the name of the loved one).
  • With heartfelt condolences.
Hopefully, this will be helpful when the time comes to send a sympathy card.

In my Joyful Heart Gift Shop, I offer handmade cards for all occasions.

Today's Scripture Readings,
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  Phillippians 4:6.

May you have a Terrific Tuesday and a blessed week.
