This month I'm featuring Multipurpose Liquid Glue. This is my go-to adhesive when I create handmade cards and small gifts. I like the fact that when I use this product, it gives me a little wiggle room to get my paper and embellishments straightened to my project before it dries. The other nice thing about the Multipurpose Liquid Glue is that it creates a strong bond giving me confidence that my project won't fall apart and it dries clear.

Terrific Tuesday #81-My Creating Process

 ~Hello, and welcome to Terrific Tuesday #81~

My daughter is hosting an engagement party, and she asked me to create some little party favors. She had an idea of something she wanted, yet she told me I could have "creative freedom" to make it cute.

I like that she gave me this permission 😉.

So I set out to create a tag with the bags she purchased. Her one request was that the tag read "Happy Engage-Mint" and put Life Savers individually wrapped mints inside each bag. I printed on white card stock with a little bit of playing around with fonts and images; I then used circle punches to create each tag. She also wanted name cards to match the tag on the bag. Here is my end result:

You might wonder about my daughter's reaction when I showed her the prototype before I created 15 tag and name card combinations. She said, "I love it, Mom." I was so happy she liked everything.

Terrific Tuesday #73-My Creating Process-Family Reunion

~Hello and welcome Terrific Tuesday #73~

I have been busy planning a family reunion on my father's side of the family. It has taken time to gather photos and compile a brief family history to share with my relatives. I have enjoyed the entire process. The last family reunion was five years ago. We all agreed it was a long time coming.

The reunion took place on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at a park that has a large shelter with picnic tables, electricity, restrooms, and playground equipment. The weather was perfectly calm, with low humidity 70 degrees for Minnesota.

I'm sharing a few photos from that day. Using a table cloth to cover a picnic table, I placed a welcome sign and provided name tags along with a guest book for everyone to sign in. We wanted a record of who all attended. Family photos were displayed towards the back of the shelter. Many relatives brought photo albums to share as well.

A good time was had by all. One of my cousins said, "I want to do this all over again."

Another family reunion is in the works, and it will be sooner than five years 😉

I have two nieces going off to college soon, and I'm preparing for each of them a small "care package."

In each of the care packages, I have included wash clothes in their favorite colors, hair binders, lotions, and hand soaps. I thought there may be times when they want to send a card to family and friends, so I will also add some handmade greeting cards with postage stamps. That way, they won't have to be running to the post office. 

Perhaps you may be preparing care packages as well for college bond students. I thought I would include some ideas as to what to say in a card with your care package:

~May this little care package be a reminder that you are loved and cared for. 

~Study hard, get lots of rest, find time to have a healthy dose of fun.

~Including Scripture verses can bring the college student comfort as well:

•  "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn His face toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26  (NIV)
• "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)

A wedding anniversary is a beautiful thing to recognize with a greeting card either for your spouse, family members, or friends. Since what is said in a card to a spouse would be different than what would be said in a card for family members or friends, I'm offering some suggestions for both.

Ideas for spouse:

~So in love with you.

~You had me at hello.

~My life is better because you're in it.

~I love our life together.

~Our hearts are meant to be together.

Ideas for family members or friends:

~Wishing you joy and blessings.

~Another year, another great reason to celebrate.

~Happy Anniversary to a very special couple.

~A Bible verse: "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves." Romans 12:10. You two are a beautiful example of this. Happy Anniversary!

Terrific Tuesday #52-Product Of The Month

 ~Hello and welcome to Terrific Tuesday #52~

This month I would like to share something very basic, in fact, the name is Basic White Cardstock. I use this cardstock in many ways: 

• as a card base for many of the handmade cards I create.
• for all stamped images.
• when I'm not stamping an image, I will type sentiments on my computer and run this cardstock through my printer.

Terrific Tuesday #51-My Creating Process

 ~Hello, and welcome to Terrific Tuesday #51~

My good friend asked me to decorate gift bags for each of her seventeen grandchildren. It was exciting to have this project to work on.

As a foundation, to begin with, I used white gift bags purchased at a local crafting store. I then added patterned paper to each bag. I made a gift tag with each of their names using matching patterned paper for a personalized touch. Polishing everything off, I tied a ribbon on one handle. Here is a photo of the gift bags all lined up:

I also decorated smaller gift bags in a kraft color for my daughters and nieces. Here is a photo of those bags:

Terrific Tuesday #50-What To Write In A Get Well Card

When someone is not feeling well, it may help bring them comfort knowing someone thought of sending a card. Here are a few suggestions as to what to write on the inside of the card:

• If hugs and kisses could cure, you'd be immune to everything! Feel better soon.
• Wishing you a quick and complete recovery.
• Sending you healing hugs.
• May God bless you as you heal.
• My prayers are with you to feel better soon.
