Terrific Tuesday #4-Product Of The Month

Hello and welcome to Terrific Tuesday #4
~Favorite product spotlight~
I will be sharing once a month some of my favorite products used in creating handmade cards.
Hand-held punches are one of the go-to items I use. Punches are easy to use, and they add interest and depth. I have an extensive collection of hand-held punches, I decided to narrow it down to the balloon bouquet punch.
The first step is to unlock the punch and turn it upside down to punch out the balloons. Here, I'm punching out two sets, one set in patterned paper, and another set in a coordinating color of card stock.

I then add these pieces to my card base, stamp a sentiment, and here is the finished card:

It will be fun for me to share once a month some of my favorite products I use to create handmade cards.
In my Joyful Heart Gift Shop  I offer a wide variety of cards and small gifts for purchase.
Today's Scripture Reading:
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

May you have a Terrific Tuesday and a blessed week.

Terrific Tuesday #3-My Creating Process

Hello and welcome to Terrific Tuesday #3.
Creating handmade cards involves a process. Today, I would like to share my process.
  • Select the card base and cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
  • With a bone folder, score the card base in half to get a nice crease.
  • Select patterned paper, cut to size desired. On this card, I will be cutting the patterned paper to 4" x 5 1/4".
  • Using adhesive, adhere the patterned paper to the card base.
  • Stamp desired sentiment with ink.
  • Clean the stamp.
  • Punch out the sentiment.
  • Using the same punch-I select a card stock that coordinates with the patterned paper.
  • I then glue this punch piece to the stamped piece.
  • To add depth and dimension to the stamped piece I place foam dots on the back.
  • Attach to the card.
  • Hooray! Here is my finished card. 😃

Hopefully, you enjoyed seeing this process.
My Etsy Shop has a variety of cards and gifts to choose from. You are welcome to visit here:

Today's Scripture Readings:

Terrific Tuesday #2-What To Write In A Birthday Card

Hello, welcome to blog post-Terrific Tuesday #2.

When I create handmade cards, I generally leave the inside blank to allow you to add your own personalized message. Perhaps there are times that you are unsure as to what to write. Here are some ideas:
  • May your birthday be as special as you are!
  • Enjoy your special day.
  • The day is yours-have fun!
  • I hope your day brings just what it should...happiness, health, and everything good.
  • Wishing you a delightful birthday.
  • Hoping your day blooms with happiness!
  • I hope this year is a piece of cake.
Scripture verses are also nice to add to a birthday card:

  •  For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)
  • For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. (Proverbs 9:11)
  • You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. (Psalm 16:11)
  • May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. (Psalm 20:4)
Hopefully, this has given you some ideas as to what to write in a birthday card.
In my Joyful Heart Gift Shop I offer several birthday cards for purchase.

Today's Scripture Readings,
"Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth." Colossians 3:2

May you have Terrific Tuesday and a blessed week.
